Ever wondered what it's like, skimming across the water at 50 mph with no noise of a motor? You may have seen windsurfing on the TV or whilst on holiday, and you'll know just how dynamic it looks! But windsurfing's not just for bleached, long, haired surf dudes, risking life and limb in a shark infested churning ocean during a hurricane; it's practiced wherever there is wind and water, by people of all ages and athletic abilities.

"But it looks so good, it must be really hard to learn!"

Now that's a common misconception! With the latest user-friendly equipment the learning curve becomes even steeper.

A revision to the National Windsurfing Scheme was introduced in January 2006. It consists of an updated coaching method known as Fastfwd which teaches the skills required for the latest windsurfing equipment.

After you have developed your skills you can come back and enjoy our "Pay and Play" rental scheme. Our rental kit comprises of the latest test centre gear from Neil Pryde, Tushingham, HiFly, Starboard, JP & F2 so that you can try before you buy from our well equipped shop. With helpful advice from which board to which pair of shoes.

Intermediate Part I - Improver (Includes logbook and certificate) The first introduction to the new Fastfwd coaching method. Covers sailing in stronger winds and getting to grips with the harness. Group Sessions

We can get a group of 6 windsurfing in just a 2 hour session.

We start off with some simple balancing games to get the group used to standing on the board without the sail. Then we move to the dry land simulator to show everyone exactly what we want them to do, the secure position and the 180 degree turn before we let them out, in a controlled fashion to sail in our allocated sailing area.

Rental of equipment is dependent on the weather conditions and personal skill level, and is at the discretion of the management. Rules of the lake must be read and adhered to.
